SALT LAKE CITY – The UFC 291 main event is set in stone after Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje made weight for their lightweight rematch, which will crown a new “BMF” champion. Former interim titleholders Poirier (29-7 MA, 21-6 UFC) and Gaethje (24-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) did their duty on the scale at Friday’s official weigh-in at the UFC host hotel. After “The Diamond” won the initial meeting by fourth-round TKO in April 2018, they will meet again with even higher stakes, as the winner will take home the “BMF” strap. Gaethje was the first fighter to come to the scale in the two-hour window and was 156 pounds. Poirier was right behind him and was 155 to make the headliner official without any drama. UFC 291 takes place at Delta Center with a main card that airs on pay-per-view
