LAS VEGAS – Gillian Robertson raised the bar for women’s flyweight finishers in the UFC 269 opener, and did so while surviving some nasty eyes gouges from Priscila Cachoeira . Robertson (10-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) secured a first-round submission of Cachoeira (10-4 MMA, 2-4 UFC) on Saturday’s card at the T-Mobile Arena, locking in a rear-naked choke while Cachoeira attempted to stick her fingers in the eyes to get out of the choke.
