Leon Edwards largely dominated at UFC 263, but the win didn’t come until after a late scare. In the first non-headlining, five-round, non-title fight in UFC history, Edwards (19-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) used a variety of attacks to pick apart and nullify Nate Diaz for four rounds. Despite a late attack from Diaz (20-13 MMA, 15-11 UFC), Edwards earned a unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46). The welterweight bout was part of the UFC 263 main card at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. It aired on ESPN following early prelims on ESPN+ and ahead of the main card on pay-per-view.
