Islam Makhachev is off to a great start in 2021. The rising UFC lightweight contender put on a clinic Saturday night, outclassing Drew Dober at Saturday’s UFC 259 pay-per-view event in Las Vegas. Makhachev (19-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) out-grappled Dober (23-10 MMA, 9-6 UFC) for two rounds to then submit him at the 1:37 mark of Round 3 with an arm-triangle choke. The lightweight bout was part of the UFC 259 main card at the UFC Apex.
