Amanda Nunes ’ resume in women’s mixed martial arts is unmatched. After defending her UFC bantamweight title three times, including wins over former 135-pound champ Ronda Rousey and current UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko, Nunes attempted to move up in weight and take on the unstoppable Cris Cyborg . Nunes (19-4 MMA, 12-1 UFC) faced then-UFC featherweight champion Cyborg at UFC 232, looking to join an elite few fighters to claim two titles simultaneously. But that cost Cyborg, as Nunes landed a perfectly-timed short counter right that stumbled her and spelled the beginning of the end. Nunes poured it on, putting the finishing touch with a big overhand right that flattened Cyborg.
