Ohh!!!! @LilHeathenMMA with the knockdown! #UFC205 #UFCNYC https://t.co/WkskotMFZr — #UFC205 (@ufc) November 13, 2016 Frankie Edgar has been in the UFC octagon for more than six hours of fight time in his career and has never been finished. He showcased that trademark durability against Jeremy Stephens at UFC 205. The featherweight bout closed out the preliminary card of today’s UFC 205 event at Madison Square Garden in New York. It aired on FS1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of the main card on pay-per-view. In a fight Edgar (20-5-1 MMA, 14-5-1 UFC***) was winning on the strength of his boxing transitioning perfectly into takedowns, he suddenly found himself dropped by a massive kick from the powerful Stephens (25-12 MMA, 12-11 UFC***). Not only did Edgar survive the knockdown, he came back in the round to nearly finish the fight with multiple guillotine choke attempts while also bullying Stephens with ground and pound attacks.
