INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Dominick Cruz dropped Urijah Faber several times, came close to finishing him at least once, and dominated him from start to finish in a masterful title defense. After five rounds of hitting and then disappearing at the first hint of a counter, Cruz (22-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) was rewarded with a unanimous decision victory of his rival Faber (33-9 MMA, 9-5 UFC), with judges turning in scores of 50-45, 50-45, and 49-46. The bantamweight title bout was the co-main event of today’s UFC 199 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
