According to a press release sent by the promotion, the event is trending to be the biggest pay-per-view in the company’s history. UFC 196 took place March 5 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. A welterweight bout between featherweight champion Conor McGregor (19-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC) and lightweight Nate Diaz (19-10 MMA, 14-8 UFC) anchored the pay-per-view main card following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. In the night’s co-main event, Miesha Tate (18-5 MMA, 5-2 UFC) won the women’s bantamweight championship from Holly Holm (10-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC).
