Benavidez (22-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC) picked up unanimous 30-27 scores by taking Moraga’s (16-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC)best strikes and putting him on the mat. The flyweight bout opened up the main card of today’s UFC 187 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Moraga caught Benavidez with a kick to the head, but the two-time title challenger said he “didn’t feel a thing” and retaliated with right hands that knocked the former title contender to the mat
