LAS VEGAS –  Sara McMann and  Miesha Tate met on the UFC 183 prelims in a bout between women who had lost to Ronda Rousey for the UFC women’s bantamweight title and wanted another title shot. Tate (16-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) was able to overcome a scare in the first round to end up taking the fight on two of three cards for the majority-decision win. The women’s bantamweight bout closed out the preliminary card of today’s UFC 183 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on pay-per-view. McMann (8-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC), a Olympic silver medalist, landed heavy right hands early in the first round, hurting Tate and knocking her down before securing top position.
