LAS VEGAS – Josh Burkman was an excellent matador and evaded danger with a flare in exchanges with the bullish Hector Lombard . But veteran Burkman (27-11 MMA, 5-6 UFC), who returned to the UFC after a seven-year absence, was eventually worn down after two rounds of dodging – and taking – punches and kicks of enormous force from Lombard (35-4-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC), who walked away with a unanimous decision. The welterweight fight kicked off today’s UFC 182 main card at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. The final scores were 30-27 twice and 29-28 for Lombard, who picked up his third straight win as a welterweight after dropping from the middleweight division. Burkman, a veteran of “The Ultimate Fighter 2″ whom the UFC re-signed from the WSOF, is now 0-4 in his past four UFC fights.
