LAS VEGAS – Francisco Rivera was giving Urijah Faber plenty to think about after the first round, but then the tide turned in an unfortunate way. Faber (32-7 MMA, 8-3 UFC) caught Rivera (10-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) with an accidental eye poke early in the second, and that in turn led to a submission win for Faber – giving him a tie with Anderson Silva for most finishes in UFC/WEC history with 14. The bantamweight bout closed out the preliminary card of today’s UFC 181 event at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of the main card on pay-per-view.
