LAS VEGAS – After a debut loss on short notice to Max Holloway,  Clay Collard returned to the octagon and showed off a full range of skills against Alex White . In a back-and-forth affair, Collard’s (14-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC) early work against White (10-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) won over judges for his first UFC win. The featherweight bout opened up the preliminary card of today’s UFC 181 event at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims on FOX Sports 1 and the main card on pay-per-view. The final scores where unanimously 29-28 for Collard, who took the fight to White early on with a fast and loose attack that included flashy kicks and a left hook that dropped White in the second frame. White struggled to reply, though he found success when he charged Collard.
