Just a day after his opponent, Joe Lauzon, was reported as forced out of their lightweight matchup,  Diego Sanchez is off the card at UFC 180. UFC officials made the announcement Thursday night, citing a report from Indiscutido . Sanchez (25-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC) was awaiting word of a new opponent after Lauzon (24-9 MMA, 11-6 UFC) was forced out, but a knee injury will keep him from the event. Lauzon had been a replacement for the injured Norman Parke. The fight had been ticketed for the main card in Mexico City.
