But the easygoing vet thinks it would have come sooner if she simply knew how to trash-talk. Davis (16-5 MMA, 3-0 UFC), the affable Canadian challenger who co-headlines Saturday’s UFC 175 pay-per-view event against UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC), spoke to MMAjunkie prior to the bout, which takes place at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center. Davis, a veteran grappler and technical striker , has won three straight fights in the UFC and eight of her past nine overall. She believes she deserved a title shot even before her recent wins over Liz Carmouche and Jessica Eye, but she also knows she’s been missing one key attribute that could have got her the opportunity earlier. “I’m going to be fair: I kind of brought it on myself a lot,” she said
