VANCOUVER – Jason Saggo (10-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) added another finish to his resume with a first-round stoppage of fellow octagon newcomer Josh Shockley (11-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC). Saggo deftly outgrappled Shockley, executing takedowns and holding dominant positions until he was able to secure a TKO. The lightweight bout opened up today’s UFC 174 event at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims on FX and a main card on pay-per-view. The tapout came at the 4:57 mark of the first round, when referee Jerin Valel waved off the fight as Saggo pounded at Shockley from back mount in the waning moments of the opening frame
