The 34-year-old Strikeforce veteran said his ability to drag opponents into deep waters is one of his best assets, and it’s one that’s going to pay off in his upcoming fight. Next Saturday at UFC 168, Voelker (24-10 MMA, 0-2 UFC) faces the 22-year-old William Macario (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) on the pay-per-view event’s MMAjunkie-streamed preliminary card, and he plans to push his opponent past his comfort zone. “He’s a young fighter, so the main thing you have to worry about with young fighters is that they’re really explosive,” Voelker told MMAjunkie Radio. “They feel like they’re Superman.
