Tyron Woodley ’s journey back to the UFC welterweight title has taken a major hit. In what was supposed to be his first bout since losing the belt to Kamaru Usman earlier this year, Woodley (19-4-1 MMA, 9-3-1 UFC) has withdrawn from his scheduled June rematch with Robbie Lawler (28-13 MMA, 13-7 UFC) at UFC on ESPN 3. A hand injury is the culprit behind Woodley’s withdrawal, though the significance of the damage remains unknown at this time. MMA Junkie confirmed with a person close to the situation that Woodley is off the card, and a replacement search is underway following an initial report from ESPN.com .
