Now that there’s a new champion, he has decided what that is: the next title shot. Woodley once blew up UFC President Dana White’s phone with text messages asking to fight Carlos Condit, and after initially getting turned down, he made good on the request by winning a TKO against onetime title challenger Condit (29-8 MMA, 6-4 UFC) at UFC 171. Although the win came as the result of a knee injury Condit suffered midfight, Woodley (13-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) told MMAjunkie Radio on Monday that it takes nothing away from his worthiness.
