Stipe Miocic was expected to handle business against late replacement Fabio Maldonado in the TUF Brazil 3 Finale main event. With a 35-second TKO victory inside Sao Paulo’s Ibirapuera Gymnasium, he did just that. The pressure was on Miocic (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) due to the fact Maldonado (21-7 MMA, 4-4 UFC) typically fights in the light heavyweight division and took the fight on short notice. He didn’t let any of that phase him, though, as he stopped the in a quick and decisive manner. It wasn’t the fight against Junior dos Santos that Miocic signed on for when he agreed to travel down to Brazil, however, he still got the notoriety of a UFC main event and is now on a respectable three-fighting winning streak inside the octagon
