Ronda Rousey (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) is arguably the most dominant champion the UFC has on its roster and she proved why on Saturday night with a first-round submission of Alexis Davis (16-6 MMA, 3-1 UFC) to defend her women’s bantamweight champion for the fourth time in the UFC 175 co-headliner. It was thought that Davis’ black-belt level jiu-jitsu skills would present problems for the former Olympic judoka turned MMA fighter, but that was far from the case as Rousey put the fight away by knockout in just 16 seconds. It was another stellar performance from “Rowdy,” and one that once again stirred up questions about who, if anyone, could dethrone the dangerous American titleholder.
