More than 10 years after they first clashed under the now-defunct PRIDE FC banner, Mauricio Rua once again defeated Antonio Rogerio Nogueira , but this time it took place inside the UFC octagon. Rua (23-10 MMA, 7-8 UFC) and Nogueira (21-7 MMA, 4-4 UFC) had their long-awaited rematch at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro.
