Juliana Velasquez became the second women’s flyweight champion in Bellator history on Thursday when she dethroned Ilima-Lei Macfarlane in the Bellator 254 headliner. Velasquez (11-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) kept her undefeated record in tact subsequently and took away Macfarlane’s (11-1 MMA, 10-1 BMMA) by unanimous decision in the main event matchup, which took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
