In a night of upsets, none was crazier or more thrilling than Matt Brown ‘s over Erick Silva in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 40 headliner. Brown (19-11 MMA, 12-5 UFC) overcame some early trouble, including crippling body shots and a deep rear-naked choke, to rally and defeat Silva (16-5 MMA, 4-4 UFC) in the welterweight headliner. The bout, which saw Brown enter as a 2-1 underdog, took place at Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena and aired on FOX Sports 1.
