LAS VEGAS – Things started off so well for Maximo Blanco . So well, in fact, that he might have gotten a little carried away when throwing a brutal knee at a downed Akira Corassani , leading to Blanco’s disqualification and a victory for Corassani at 0:25 of the first round. The featherweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s TUF 18 Finale event at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on MMAjunkie and ahead of the main card on FOX Sports 1. Blanco wasted little time attacking Corassani, putting him on his back and pouring on the strikes as Corassani attempted to rise to his feet.
