LONDON – Arnold Allen blitzed Yaotzin Meza with a series of hard left hands just as the horn sounded to end the fight, leaving one fighter on the floor and his opponent celebrating as if he’d just won by knockout. However, Allen (11-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) had to settle for a victory by unanimous decision since his attack on Meza (21-11 MMA, 2-4 UFC) came just a hair too late, though all three judges still gave the fight to Allen by scores of 30-27 across the board. The featherweight bout was part of today’s UFC Fight Night 84 preliminary card at The O2 in London. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass. The furious burst to end the fight was a stark contrast to much of the action the preceded it as Allen fought a patient, competent fight against a somewhat listless Meza for the bulk of the three-round affair
