He nearly found himself without a single belt. In June 2014, Branch faced fellow veteran Jesse Taylor at WSOF 10, with the promotion’s inaugural middleweight belt on the line. It was Taylor who jumped out to the quick start, securing a guillotine choke in the opening 20 seconds of the contest. But Branch was able to outlast the hold before ending the fight shortly after with a Brabo choke of his own.
