Filed under: News , UFC Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida has accepted an 18-month suspension from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Officials today announced the sanction, which is retroactive to April 8 of this year. After disclosing to USADA his use of a product with a banned substance, Machida was removed from this year’s UFC on FOX 19 bout with Dan Henderson, which was scheduled for April 16. He subsequently failed a drug test due to the banned substance, which today was identified as 7‐keto-dehydroepiandrosterone (7‐keto‐DHEA), a hormonal supplement. Machida (22-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC), 38,  was pulled from the card  on April 13
