Matt Hughes will go down as one of the all-time great fighters in UFC history. Maybe one of his most famous fights came against Carlos Newton when he won the welterweight title for the first time at UFC 34 in November 2001. His win came courtesy of a trademark Hughes slam – he dropped Newton right on his head to knock him out.
