With his back against the wall, Cody Garbrandt rebounded in emphatic fashion. Looking to snap a three-fight losing skid, Garbrandt faced perennial contender Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250 , which took place this past June at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It was a composed performance from Garbrandt, who paid for an overzealous approach in his previous three stoppage losses. The former UFC bantamweight champion looked to punish Assuncao’s lead leg early, tagging him with a few blitzing combinations. A scramble on the ground opened up the second frame, with Garbrandt landing a big head kick off the break.
