WSOF championship belt The WSOF is going old school to elect the next contender to lightweight champ Justin Gaethje’s title. The promotion today announced that WSOF 25, which takes place Nov. 20 at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, will feature a single elimination eight-man tournament to crown its No. 1 contender at 155 pounds. Among those slated to participate in the tournament: two-time title challenger Luis Palomino (23-11), Brian Foster (22-7), Mike Ricci (10-4), Islam Mamedov (12-1), Brian Cobb (20-8), Jorge Patino 37-15-2), Joao Zeferino (18-6) and onetime title challenger Rich Patishnock (6-2). Quarterfinal matchups will be announced shortly, as will tournament rules.
