Pat Miletich For a tiny pair of shorts, there’s a lot of history packed into the black and white Bad Boy “bunhuggers” that Pat Miletich wore at the UFC’s “Ultimate Brazil” event in Sao Paulo in 1998. This was the night that the UFC crowned Miletich its first 170-pound champion, in what was then known as the lightweight division. It was also the first time that clothing maker Tapout, which was less than a year old at the time but which would come to play a significant role in the growth and development of MMA, had ever paid to put its logo on a UFC fighter’s shorts.
