Mayra Bueno Silva is looking to show off her aggressive style against Mara Romero Borella . The Brazilian finisher takes on Borella on the UFC’s Sept. 19 event, which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Silva, who punched her ticket to the UFC through “Dana White’s Contender Series” in 2018, has split her first two octagon appearances. After picking up an impressive first-round submission against Gillian Robertson , Silva was sidelined for a year-and-a-half due to double knee surgery, eventually making her return this past March. Though she would suffer her first career blemish to Maryna Moroz, Silva saw it as a valuable lesson and vows to bounce back stronger.
