WINNIPEG – Despite smiles and smirks and hugs, Shawn Jordan didn’t let his friendship with Pat Barry get in his way one bit. Jordan swarmed his fellow Louisianan early in their fight and earned a quick TKO win. The heavyweight bout kicked off today’s UFC 161 main card at MTS Centre in Winnipeg. It aired on pay-per-view after prelims on FX and Facebook. After a bro hug, Jordan and Barry got down to business. A head kick from Barry prompted a smile from his opponent, and a counter from Jordan got Barry to take him seriously. But it was an uppercut from close range that put former LSU football player Jordan in the driver’s seat. Charging forward, he continued to batter Barry, who slumped to the canvas at the cage before the ref finally halted the attack.
