LFA welterweight Trey Waters may have been on the verge of his first professional loss, but a well-timed knee in the final round changed everything in an instant. At LFA 133 on Friday, Waters (6-0 MMA) found himself in a tough battle against Benjamin Bennett at Magness Arena in Denver. Throughout the fight, Bennett (3-1) kept the pressure high as he consistently looked to get the fight to the ground and landed strikes at close range. Waters had success on the feet as well, but Bennett’s forward pressure dictated the pace for a majority of the fight. However, late in the third round, things came to a screeching halt after the referee broke up a stalled clinch against the cage.
