Ben Saunders CHICAGO – In a fight that seemed like it had the potential to turn into an epic grappling match, Ben Saunders and Kenny Roberson instead decided to beat each other bloody for three full rounds in a rollicking slobberknocker of a fight that saw its share of ebbs and flows. When it was over, the judges gave the nod to Saunders (19-6-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) by the narrowest of margins, handing him a split decision victory (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) over a game Robertson (15-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC). The welterweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC on FOX 16 event at United Center in Chicago
