Filed under: News , UFC Ivan Jorge PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil – Josh Shockley had the right idea in the first 15 seconds of his fight with Ivan Jorge , throwing knees up the middle as the Brazilian closed the distance. But as the fight wore on, Shockley (11-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) ceded points as he gave up takedowns and got smothered on the mat, leading Jorge (26-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) to a unanimous-decision win. The lightweight bout opened the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 61 event at Gigantinho Gymnasium in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims and a main card on FOX Sports 1. The final scores were 29-28 across the board for Jorge, who beat Shockley’s coach, Keith Wisniewski, in his octagon debut in September 2013. A decision loss to Rodridgo Damm marked his previous appearance.
