Some familiar names and big-show vets will be part of the cast for “The Ultimate Fighter 19.” UFC officials today announced the list of middleweight and light-heavyweight competitors who will compete in the long-running reality show’s latest tournaments. The show, which debuts April 16 on FOX Sports 1, features former champions Frankie Edgar (16-4-1 MMA, 10-4-1 UFC) and B.J. Penn (16-9-2 MMA, 12-5-1 UFC) as head coaches. They meet in a season-ending bout on July 6 at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale, where two show champions will also be crowned.
