GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Alvaro Herrera is gearing up to make a return to MMA competition after two years away from the sport. The former UFC fighter and TUF: Latin America 2 contestant is angling an August comeback to the cage as he looks to resume his professional career. The last time Herrera (11-7 MMA) stepped in the cage was back in March 2019 at Combate Americas 32 where he suffered a TKO loss. “Chango” is hoping to get back to the win column and return stronger than ever. “I know it’s been a while since I’ve fought, but I can’t wait to return,” Herrera told MMA Junkie in Spanish. “Last year was a tough one for everyone, everything came to a stop, but I’ve continued to train and continued to reinvent myself for when the time comes for my return.
