Filed under: Featured , Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic played coy when asked by a reporter whether he’ll fight Fabricio Werdum on the Brazilian champ’s home soil, but it was pretty clear that’s the plan. “Maybe,” Miocic said backstage at this past Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 82 event. “You know better than I do.” A source close to Miocic (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC), who asked for anonymity because he is not authorized to discuss the matchup publicly, told MMAjunkie the UFC is lining up the title fight with Werdum (20-5-1 MMA, 8-2 UFC) after a report from Combate reported it’s targeted for May at UFC 198. The Brazilian MMA outlet reported three cities are possible to host: Fortaleza, Brasilia and Curitiba. But as far as Miocic is concerned, nothing’s official until it’s announced.
