Filed under: News , UFC Few fighters represent their cities as well as UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic , who after defending his title with a first-round knockout of Alistair Overeem at UFC 203 in September has spent much of his recent time supporting the Cleveland Indians through their MLB playoff run. The Indians are currently tied 1-1 with the Chicago Cubs in the World Series, and up to this point Miocic (16-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC), a former baseball player himself, has been spotted at games, batting practice and more. Cleveland sports have been on fire since Miocic captured UFC heavyweight gold from Fabricio Werdum at UFC 198 in May, with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers following his accomplishment by snapping a 52-year team sports championship drought for the city. The Cavaliers are led by three-time NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James, who, like Miocic, is a proud representative of Ohio. For that reason, it’s only natural the pair would eventually cross paths, and it finally happened at Wednesday’s Game 2 of the World Series at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Miocic shared the moment on social media (via Instagram )
