The famed career heavyweight great Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is clearly approaching its end. However, good friend and training partner Anderson Silva is not ready to throw in the towel on his buddy’s career. The past couple years have not been particularly kind to “Minotauro.” The 38-year-old has just one victory in his past four UFC appearances, with all of those losses coming with a brutal physical toll attached. Nogueira (34-9-1 MMA, 5-5 UFC) suffered a highligh- reel knockout loss at the hands of Roy Nelson in April, had his elbow dislocated by Fabricio Werdum in June 2013, and he was victim of one of the most gruesome submissions in recent MMA history when Frank Mir snapped his arm in December 2011
