English featherweight Saul Rogers has had to wait longer than he would have liked, but the Manchester man will finally get the chance to bounce back after his Bellator featherweight grand prix defeat to Daniel Weichel last year. Rogers was edged out on the scorecards by Germany’s Weichel in the first round of the 145-pound tournament at Bellator 228 and was hoping to battle his way back into the win column against Scotland’s Robert Whiteford in London in May. But that card was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Rogers, along with the rest of the Bellator roster, was forced into hiatus. Now Rogers (13-3 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) is back and eager to get back into the cage, and he was in upbeat mood as he chatted to the media ahead of his Bellator Europe 10 co-main event bout with the debuting Arbi Mezhidov (13-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA).
