A recent knee injury forced UFC lightweight Ross Pearson out of a rematch with Melvin Guillard , which had been slated for UFC Fight Night 37 on March 8 at the O2 Arena in London. Pearson went in for surgery on Friday to have his right knee repaired. He reported via Twitter that the surgery went well, so he should be on track for a quick recovery. Pearson said that he will hopefully return to the Octagon sometime in May or June, if rehabilitation of the knee goes according to plan. Pearson most recently fought in October
