Road FC 16 is set for the South Korean city of Gumi on July 26 and will be headlined by a flyweight title fight with Nam Jin Jo and Song Min Jong competing for the inaugural 125-pound belt. Jo (8-6) has won two straight fights and is coming off a career-defining win over Mikihito Yamagami at Road FC 14 when he dominated the Japanese veteran for three rounds to take a unanimous decision. Jong (6-6) beat two tough opponents to reach the final of the recent Road FC 135-pound tournament where he was extremely unfortunate to find himself on the wrong end of a surprise split decision defeat to Kil Woo Lee.
