Though he picked up a unanimous decision win over Derek Loffer in his first bout of the year in March, former Bellator title contender Rick Hawn feels it was not the kind of performance he would have liked to kick off his 2015. “It was a very lackluster fight,” Hawn told MMAWeekly.com. “I got the win against a tough kid (in Loffer), but he’s someone I felt I should have finished, and I didn’t get the job done. “My last couple performances haven’t been up to par with my standards, and I’m disappointed with that, so I’m changing things with my style to not be as hesitant to pull the trigger like I used to.” While Hawn wants to get back to being a more assertive fighter, he also has a mind to progress in specific skill areas as well. “I want to become well-rounded and become a better striker, have better movement, and add a lot of new things to my game, so I’m not the same kind of person and fighter I’ve been my whole career,” said Hawn.
