Douglas Lima has had only one fight in 2014, and it appears that’s the only action he’ll see for the remainder of the year. Lima (26-5 MMA, 8-1 BMMA), the current Bellator MMA welterweight champion who fought three times in 2013, said he recently suffered a rib injury and is unable to train for at least six weeks. The injury doesn’t require surgery, but Lima won’t be able to compete until early 2015. “I’m about six weeks off training right,” Lima told MMAjunkie Radio. “(I hurt) my rib cartilage. It is what it is.
