Nick Diaz With his day in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission expected to come in the next several weeks, Nick Diaz is apparently bringing in some backups. Ariel Helwani reported on Wednesday’s “UFC Tonight” on FOX Sports 1 that Diaz had enlisted the help of a New York-based law firm based on some perceived “irregularities” in his post-UFC 183 drug test. Helwani later clarified the firm was Seham, Seham, Meltz & Petersen, LLP, an organization that says it “ provides representation in all aspects of Labor & Employment Law, Transportation, Energy, Real Estate, Corporate, Family and Immigration Law .” Lawyers from the firm will now reportedly represent Diaz at future NSAC hearings. Diaz tested positive for marijuana metabolites following his UFC 183 win over former UFC middleweight champion and top pound-for-pound fighter Anderson Silva. Diaz’s positive test related to marijuana is the third of his professional career, all under the jurisdiction of the NSAC. His first positive test came following a PRIDE 33 bout with Takanori Gomi in February 2007
