Report: Lavar Johnson Jailed on Felony Domestic Violence Charges Former UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator MMA heavyweight Lavar Johnson sits in a jail in Fresno, Calif., with bail set at $120,000 stemming from an August arrest for domestic violence. TMZ released details of the incident on Friday. According to TMZ, Johnson allegedly slammed his girlfriend against a wall and to the ground before kneeing her in the face and striking her multiple times with a closed fist. When police arrived at the scene, the 6-foot-3-inch 38-year-old had left, but was later detained and charged with multiple felonies, including assault with a deadly weapon (his fists).
