Damacio Page hopes his recent career resurgence will be enough to earn a second chance in the UFC – this time as a flyweight. Page’s (19-9) first UFC stint produced unenviable results. He went winless in three bantamweight appearances against Alex Caceres, Brad Pickett and Brian Brian Bowles, and was submitted with a different technique in each loss. Since his release from the organization in late 2012, Page dropped a weight class and has strung together four victories in five bouts. His lone defeat in that stretch came by controversial split decision in a contest Page said he strongly believes he won. While all of Page’s recent wins have come by stoppage, his MMAjunkie “Knockout of the Month” winner against Brian Hall at Legacy FC 36 in October really mustered discussion about a UFC return: Page desperately wants another opportunity to earn his first UFC victory.
